I'm just wishing you guys 6 days late.
My blog is heading no where these days, due to the lack of substance to blog about. Been living a pretty routine lifestyle, in other words a really boring one. One of my resolution for the year is to update this blog of mine as constantly as I could, so that it'll be like a reminder of my past. That way, I can read back and said proudly I was assiduous in keeping this blog of mine alive.
So I'll start off the year with a blog post on a spontaneous trip down to Malacca with the family at the end of the year. I had the sudden urge to go down to the beautiful city and visit someone I love, since it has been a couple of months already. So at 7 in the evening, mum gave the family the green light, and there I went making a whole to-do-list already.
Drove down to Malacca at 9 in the morning, oh yes I drove all the way to Malacca by myself, all 124km ! We went visiting first and then a quick change at Jusco. Before heading off to the city for Chicken Rice Balls. It was already 2 in the afternoon, so the store next to the river that I prefer was closed. I certainly wasn't in the mood to take the same pictures over and over again. So I didn't.
Then, we crossed the Malacca river and went over to The Stadhuys because I saw this gold man standing there doing a photo session when I passed by earlier on. He wasn't there, so I settled for a quick photo with the mum instead.

Can you not tell I was trying to be very tourist like?
Went over to Jonker street to be amazed by all the junk they have there. Also to find for my pineapple tart I was craving for.

You have no clue, how happy I got when I found this store. I ate their pineapple tart 2 years ago, and until this very day, I absolutely love it. I love how it literally melts in your mouth. Damn yummy!

Facebook flipflops. Heck yes! They're cool.

This picture has absolutely no purpose. I just love how long my hair is in this one. Been keeping it for a while and I'm glad how healthy they are.
After the whole being a tourist thing, my mum drove the car and we got lost big time. We pretty much drove pointlessly for a whole hour before finally reaching makhota parade for a quick toilet break.
With the whole new restaurant thing, it was a must to drop by Portuguese Settlement for dinner. So we did. Once again, got very very sesat finding the way there. I just got to point it out, usually I'm superbly awesome with direction but I have no clue why I was a messed on that particular day. Drove all the way to this kampung area which completely freaked me out cause it was just so foreign.
Called up Buaya to ask for direction. It was good for a while before we got lost again. So they met up with us and brought us around the settlement. I must say, I was blown away by all the christmas lightings. You can NEVER see anything like that in the city. They decorated each and every house with raindeer, snowman and blinking lights everywhere. It was beautiful. I love how it's right next to the sea as well.

King Horse Shoe crab. I've seen a lot of crabs and this is certainly a very interesting one. It's funny how I can easily determine the sex of the crab as well. Oh boy, the stuff I learnt from the restaurant is so random. That's Spike, I was too afraid to even hold it up or I'll definitely take a picture like that as well.

Believe it or not, this was my very first time eating kerang. You definitely require skills to eat this or you'll be a mess like I was. Not going to review on the food because obviously, I'll be biased and it won't be an honest one.

Yeah, don't ask me what was going on.
And finally, a group picture with the guys.

:)
Quick stop at McDonalds to freshen up before the long drive back home. It was a really short trip, but definitely necessary.
Aly.
